In the second match of the evening, Asec Mimosas fell at home to Esperance de Tunis on penalties. In this return match of LDC CAF, the Ivorians in front of the Félicia public intended to create the feat. But the experience of the Sang et Or took over. In a very tight encounter, neither team managed to take the advantage as in the first leg. The penalty shootout was therefore inevitable. In this exercise, Espérance Tunis had a hidden card up its sleeve: Amenallah Memmich.
The 19-year-old Tunisian goalkeeper stopped shots from Christian Koffi and Salifou Diarrassouba. His teammates, for their part, were clinical and skillful in all their attempts. Espérance Tunis thus advances to the semi-final of the LDC CAF and will face Mamelodi Sundowns .
