CAN 2023: CAF inspection visit to Côte d’Ivoire


CAN 2023 is scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire.

Host country of CAN 2023, Côte d’Ivoire was at the center of attention during the meeting of the Executive Committee of the African Football Confederation (CAF). A meeting which was held by videoconference, Monday, October 25. The goal ? Avoid new organizational inconvenience as for the 2019 and 2021 editions of the CAN.


CAN 2023 is scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire.
It was agreed that a delegation of emissaries from CAF will visit Ivorian soil to assess the state of progress of the work . But also draw up a complete inventory to determine if the host country will meet the deadlines.

CAF has yet to determine the exact date of this visit which will lead to an inspection of the Bouaké and Ebimpé stadiums. And to support Côte d’Ivoire in the preparations for CAN 2023, a CAF office will be set up in the country in February 2022. It will be notably in charge of supporting the local organizing committee.
