Friendly: Mali faces Zambia, 20 years later

Mali players will play at home in September
The Eagles of Mali will host the Chipolopolo of Zambia at the March 26 stadium in Bamako. According to information from Eastafricanreport the two countries will play two friendly matches during the FIFA window. 

The first game will take place on September 23. Three days later (September 26), the two countries will do battle again. The Eagles were supposed to travel to Benghazi to play two matches against Libya and Zambia, but the trip was cancelled.

The last meeting between Malians and Zambians dates back to January 10, 2002 at the Abdoulaye Makoro Sissoko stadium in Kayes, on the occasion of the inauguration of the regional stadiums of Mali as a prelude to the CAN, Mali 2002. The match ended in a draw (1-1).
