Rugby 7 (F): the Lionesses of Senegal in preparation camp
The Senegal women’s sevens rugby team began a 5-day regrouping on Friday. The course will be held at the Bel-Air military camp (Dakar) learned Sport News Africa.
This course is part of the preparations for the Africa Women’s Sevens. The competition will be played from April 29-30 in Monastir, Tunisia. To this end, coach Baboucar Diatta has summoned 16 players, all playing in the local championship. Fourteen of the 16 Lionesses who won last December at the women’s sevens regional tournament in Egypt are included in this list. Senegal is housed in Group A along with South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The winner of the Africa Women’s Sevens wins her ticket for the Women’s Rugby Sevens World Cup. This is scheduled for September 2022 in South Africa. The Rainbow nation is however guaranteed to compete in the World Cup as host country.
