World U17 (F): Ghana scorer, Morocco holds its ticket
Morocco’s U17 women’s selection.
The Moroccan under-17 selection will be there. The Lioncelles de l’Atlas qualified for the Football World Cupscheduled for next October in India, beating Ghana on penalties (4-2) this Saturday, June 4 at the Moulay-El-Hassan stadium in Rabat.
Dominated in the first leg, the Moroccans overthrew the Ghanaians (2-0) on the return leg before winning at the end of the penalty shootout in the last qualifying round.
The goals for Patrick Cordoba’s protégés were scored by Fatima Al-Ghazouani (16′) and Samia Mesnaoui (47′).
